The Founder
Hi, I'm Matt—the founder of BoardWise—and I built this because I've lived it.
Like many professionals, I never imagined I'd face a licensing board complaint. I graduated summa cum laude from nursing school, earned my CCRN certification, and worked in critical care at Duke University Hospital. Later, I enrolled in graduate school while continuing to care for patients in the ICU.

But everything changed when I became the subject of a board investigation.
The process was overwhelming, expensive, and traumatic. I didn't understand the steps, I didn't know my rights, and I spent thousands of dollars over several years just trying to defend the career I had worked so hard to build.
What shocked me most was how many others—nurses, therapists, teachers, and more—go through this alone. Most cannot afford an attorney. Most do not know where to start.
